I went back and compared the three point shooting percentages of the past decades to now and the improvement isn't what people think it is. It's funny that he said watch whole games from the 90s. Watch today's game where the number of missed three pointers is extremely high. The percentage of three pointers made has basically only increased 1 percent in the 90s and 2020s, from 35% to 36%. That's with the better spacing and skills. That's also with a rise in uncontested shots. The average team score in the 2020s is only 10 points more than in the 90s. You factor in the huge difference in three point shots and the misses and that's not enough of a difference to overcome games where there are 30 to 40 missed 3 pointers. I'd rather watch Duncan score an easy 21 points than the best 3 point shooters average about 23 points while missing 10 to 15 threes per game.

Lebron walked off because he lost, Bird walked off not because he lost but because of how the pistons played. they were a dirty team and he didn't want to give them the respect because of how they played.
